You arrive and meet your coach. She shows you the equipment and the venue, down to where the water fountain is.
If you have any worries, or anything you want to focus on, tell her. She builds it into the session.
You will be moving around the court quickly, hitting balls and playing a rally.
By the end you will have played squash, seen yourself improve, and learned your way around the court and the game. And you will be looking forward to playing again.
Individual coaching in Greater Manchester starts at £22.50 for 40 minutes, and most sessions land between £24 and £33 depending on the venue and the time of day. Some venues charge peak prices for evenings. This is why the price may rise at these times.
The price you see includes the coach and the court. There is no membership, no joining fee and nothing added at the end. You pay online when you book and you book as a guest, so there is no account to make.
If you cancel more than 48 hours before, you get all of it back.

Your coach brings the racket and the ball. There is nothing to buy to try this.
Wear clothes you can move in and clean trainers, the kind that will not leave black marks on the floor. Most trainers are fine. Bring water.
If you are booking for a child aged 5 to 17, eye guards are required on court and your coach provides those too.

Weekends are where most of the availability is.
Weekday evenings are thinner and they vary by venue, so each venue above says what it has rather than making you hunt. Some have evenings until half nine. Some have a couple a week. One or two have none, and say so.
We are adding evening courts as fast as venues will give them to us.
Every coach on Courter is qualified, checked, and used to people who have never played. You can pick one, or let us match you.
If you would rather know a little before you turn up, we made a beginner series with SquashSkills. Eight videos, under twenty minutes in total. The right ball, how to hold the racket, what the lines mean, and the four drills most squash is built on.
No. Individual coaching is one coach and one player, so there is nobody watching. And beginners are the sessions most of our coaches enjoy most.
You set the pace, and your coach works to it. You will move more than you expect and enjoy it more than you expect.
No. No membership, no sign up, no account. You book as a guest and pay online.
Yes. Squash for 2 is £25 for the two of you, which works out at £12.50 each, and neither of you needs to have played. Up to four can share a session for the same price.
Yes. Every coach on Courter is female. Every player is welcome.
More than 48 hours before your session, you get a full refund. Inside 48 hours we usually cannot refund, because your coach and your court are already held.
Booking takes about three minutes. The lesson is 40, 60 or 80 minutes. The hard part is the bit between deciding and doing.
