Who we are
Courter is a squash coaching booking platform operated by Sally Archibald, trading as Courter ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is courter.co.uk.

What data we collect
When you book a session
We collect the following information to process your booking:
- Your name (first and last)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Session details (venue, coach, date, time, session type)
- Your self-described squash ability or experience level
- Any relevant information you provide for the coach
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details)
For junior sessions, we also collect:
- Child's name
- Child's age
- Parent/guardian name and contact details
When you use the contact form
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Your message
When you visit our website
We may collect:
- Basic analytics data (pages visited, time on site)
- Your approximate location (if you use the venue search — this stays in your browser and is not stored by us)
How we use your data
We use your information to:
- Process and confirm your booking
- Send you a booking confirmation email
- Send you reminder emails before your session (the day before and the morning of)
- Share relevant booking details with your coach (your name, session type, any notes you provide, and for junior sessions, the child's details)
- Respond to your enquiries via the contact form
- Improve our service
We will never sell your data to third parties.
Who we share your data with
We only share your data with the following services, and only what's needed for them to do their job:

Your data is stored on secure UK/EU-based services and transmitted using HTTPS encryption.
How long we keep your data

After these periods, data is securely deleted.
Your rights (UK GDPR)

- Deletion — ask us to delete your data (where we don't need it for legal/accounting reasons)
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Objection — object to us processing your data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format

Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for the website to function (e.g. session management)
- No advertising or tracking cookies — we do not use third-party advertising cookies
Children's data
For junior coaching sessions (ages 5–17), we collect the child's name and age, along with a parent/guardian's contact details. This data is only used to facilitate the coaching session and is shared with the assigned coach for safeguarding purposes.
We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We won't make significant changes without letting you know.
