FAQs

Booking & Payment

Do I need to create an account to book?

No. You book as a guest — just pick your session, enter your details, and pay. No sign-ups, no memberships.

How do I pay?

You pay securely online when you book. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your session is only confirmed once payment is complete.

How does Courter make money?

Courter takes a small commission on each booking. That's how we keep the platform running. There are no fees for coaches or venues to join, and no hidden charges for players — the price you see is the price you pay.

Why do session prices change at different times?

Prices can vary depending on a few things: some venues charge more for courts at peak times, and some session start times may mean the session covers two court bookings. The price you see at checkout always reflects the true cost of that session at that venue and time — no surprises.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 48 hours before your session starts, you'll get a full refund. Within 48 hours of your session, refunds aren't usually given as your coach and court have already been reserved. To cancel, email [email protected] as soon as you can.

Sessions & What to Expect

What should I bring to a session?

Comfortable sportswear, indoor trainers (non-marking soles), and a water bottle. Your coach will have all equipment for you if you don't have your own.

I've never played squash before — is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of our sessions are designed for complete beginners. Pick a 1-to-1 session and let your coach know in the booking notes — they'll tailor everything to you.

Our Coaches

How are your coaches vetted?

Every coach on Courter is qualified and vetted before they go live. All junior coaches are DBS checked. We only list coaches we trust.

Can I choose my coach?

Yes. You can browse coach profiles and book with a specific coach, or select "Any Coach" and we'll match you with someone available.

For Coaches

How do I become a Courter coach?

Use the contact form on our website and tell us you're interested. We'll be in touch to talk about your experience, qualifications, and availability.

Does it cost anything to join as a coach?

No. There's no cost to coaches or venues. Courter takes a commission on each booking — that's it.

For Venues

How does Courter work with venues?

We partner with venues to fill court voids with coached sessions. We bring vetted female coaches to your venue — filling quiet slots, adding female coaching to your offering, and introducing people to your club who might not have found you otherwise. All without disrupting your existing programme.

What does my venue need to do?

We handle the coaches, the bookings, and the marketing. All we need from you is access to your court booking system so we can see availability and book courts. There's no cost to join.
