A BIT ABOUT ME
Samara first picked up a racket at nine years old in Kenya, and squash has stayed with her through every chapter since — school and junior representative squash for Kenya, university squash, a full career in the Royal Air Force, and motherhood. Wherever life took her, the court was the one constant.
She has been coaching since 1998, starting in the RAF with a clear goal: getting more women into the game. After leaving the RAF with a young family, she turned to juniors, grassroots, schools, and women's squash and racketball, coaching across all levels. Today she also works with England Squash as a Coach Developer, delivering coach training and workshops and mentoring new coaches.
Her style is enthusiastic, considered, and progressive, and she works best with beginners and improvers. With complete beginners she uses a range of balls and props to make the learning easier, and gets new players rallying quickly. For improvers, once she understands where you want to get to, she builds your game at a pace that suits you and your goal. She also has strong local connections and can introduce you to other players and sessions to join.

“I booked a session for my nine-year-old daughter on a recommendation. She absolutely loved her first squash experience and keeps asking when she can play again.”
“I'd been looking for a female coach for ages. I wanted to get better at squash and start playing competitively but didn't know where to begin. Courter made it so easy to book — I'll definitely be booking again.”
